Georg Fischer (GF) has joined forces with Uponor Corporation, and regrouped its business into two divisions: GF Uponor will focus on building technology, while the infrastructure and utility business will move to GF Piping Systems.
Uponor president and CEO Michael Rauterkus will join GF’s executive team as president of the GF Uponor division. The division will offer a portfolio of water solutions and energy efficient heating and cooling products. GF Piping Systems will focus on the industrial and utility business, offering piping solutions for end markets such as water treatment, energy, data centres and water and gas utilities.
Switzerland-based GF offers products and solutions enabling the safe transport of liquids and gases, as well as casting components and high-precision manufacturing technologies. The company was founded in 1802 and has more than 15,000 employees worldwide. Finland’s Uponor provides water and flow solutions, radiant heating and cooling systems, and infrastructure solutions in more than 80 countries.
