Engagement at Eden event reflects heat pump momentum

Andy Oding, vice president of Building Knowledge Canada, noted that cooling is becoming a concern as eight out of 10 complaints the company deals with are related to the indoor environment being too warm. He emphasized that resiliency must be added to building codes. Cooling loads and moisture management are priorities moving forward, he noted.
Lance MacNevin of the Plastics Pipe Institute discussed the benefits of plastic pipe and explored suitability for hydronic and geothermal applications.

More than 260 contractors, suppliers and homebuilders attended Eden Energy Equipment’s 2023 Heat Pump and Hydronics Seminar on September 15 in Guelph, ON. The event featured individual speakers and panels tackling the pressing issues facing the industry today with the increasing demand for heat pumps.
