Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH) president and general manager Ralph Suppa has announced he will retire on December 31, 2023.

Suppa has been with CIPH for 35 years. He joined the association as program manager, and was appointed president and general manager in 2002.

“Serving CIPH since 1988 has been an honour and a joy,” said Suppa in the announcement. “During the next year and a half, I will continue to work alongside our exceptional staff and board of directors to deliver on the association’s mission. And, when the search committee completes its work, I’ll do everything I can to ensure a seamless transition and position my successor to lead CIPH to what I’m sure will be even greater success.”

CIPH says it will retain an executive search firm to coordinate the search for the association’s next president, and hopes to have a candidate in place by June 2023.
