Vote now for Canada’s best restroom

New washrooms in the Toronto Zoo’s Tundra Trek feature Canadian animals and nature.

Mississauga, ON-based Cintas Canada has announced the five finalists in its Canada’s Best Restroom contest, and is calling on Canadians to vote for their favourite. The winning facility will win $2,500 in restroom services from Cintas.

The finalists are: Borden Park, Edmonton; The Rooftop, Calgary; Surrey Park, Surrey, BC; Sweet Market Esso Station, Red Deer, AB; and the Toronto Zoo, Toronto. Nominees were chosen based on cleanliness, visual appeal, innovation, functionality and unique design elements.

“These five facilities demonstrate a commitment to prioritizing hygiene and customer service – especially as cleanliness is so important right now – combined with creativity and whimsy not  usually seen in washrooms,” says Candice Raynsford, marketing manager for Cintas Canada.

Outside washrooms in Surrey Park, BC are universally accessible, with no-touch fixtures and solar power.

Last year’s winner was Westview RV Park in Wetaskiwin, AB.
