Companies, industry professionals invited to participate in Skills Ontario summer workshops
Registration is now open for Skills Ontario’s free summer tech workshops for kids. The virtual sessions are aimed at children in grades seven, eight and nine, but are open to all ages.
The workshops will run from July 5 to July 30, and will include skilled trade and tech-related presentations, demonstrations and virtual tours. The sessions are set at various skill levels, and participants can sign up for as many sessions as they like. Another session will run in August, with registration opening on June 21.
Skills Ontario is also looking for industry professionals to lead online workshops, as well as companies to host demonstrations and virtual tours.
“As an organization dedicated to inspiring Ontarians to explore skilled careers, we look forward to hosting sessions for youth across Ontario,” says Skills Ontario CEO Ian Howcroft. “The skilled trades and technologies offer a vast variety of career paths, and we aim to showcase that through our fun and diverse array of workshops. We’re thrilled to continue to deliver programs that empower and inspire Ontarians.”
