Calls for input on new Canadian national standard for plumbing

The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) is asking for input from Canadians on the development of APMO Z1001, Prefabricated Gravity Grease Interceptors, as a Canadian national standard.

APMO Z1001 covers prefabricated gravity grease interceptors made of concrete, fibre‐reinforced polyester (FRP), thermoplastic and steel, and outlines requirements for design, materials, performance, testing and markings.

The organization is seeking input from regulators, consumers, educators and plumbing and mechanical industry professionals by July 26. To participate visit IAPMO.
