CIPH awards, Ontario Region AGM
The Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH) has presented Brad Powell of Emco’s North Bay, ON location, with a Lifetime Service Award. Powell co-founded Powell Plumbing in 1973, which joined Emco in 2015.
Also receiving a Lifetime Service Award is Robert Shields of Watts Water Technologies (Canada). The award recognizes 40 years or more in the plumbing and heating industry.
In addition, CIPH is recognizing Marco Varnier, regional manager, British Columbia plumbing, for Emco, with an Outstanding Service Award. The award recognizes 25 years or more with a CIPH company, and five years or more of volunteer service on a CIPH board, council or committee.
At the CIPH Ontario region business meeting on April 15 an Outstanding Service Award was presented to Drew Molnar, national sales manager with InSinkErator Canada. OS&B president Brent Cornelissen accepted a Lifetime Service Award. The Young Executive Society Award was presented to Kristy Bell, Bronte collection manager with OS&B and Jeff Superle, national sales manager with Mechanical Business. Congratulations to all award winners!
At the AGM, which is the third virtual meeting held by CIPH Ontario Region since the start of the pandemic, Joe Drago of Bradford White was introduced as the 2021-2022 president. Following the AGM and breakout rooms, keynote speaker Drew Dudley discussed everyday leadership.
