The Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) is looking for public input on its current review of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC).
According to a ESA press release, the OESC is under review “to ensure the regulatory framework provides the appropriate balance between the need to ensure safety, while supporting modernization and reducing the burden on businesses.”
The ESA is looking for consultation from contractors, businesses, consumers and other stakeholders on proposed amendments to the OESC until April 29, 2021. Participants can view the proposed changes at www.esasafe.com/2021oesc. Comments and feedback should be emailed to [email protected]
Amendments to the OESC will be enforced by May 2022.
