Skills Ontario hosting International Women’s Day Conference
Skills Ontario will be holding a virtual complimentary International Women’s Day Conference on March 8. The event features industry experts and leaders who will discuss topics such as childcare for those in the skilled trades, work/life balance, entrepreneurships and resources and opportunities in skilled trades and technologies.
The morning session will run at 10:20 a.m. EST, with the recorded conference streaming at 7:00 p.m. on the same day. Students, apprentices, businesswomen, tradeswomen, and advocates for women in the skilled trades and technologies are welcome to attend.
“Through our International Women’s Day Conference, we are showing viewers there is a large community of women who are eager and happy to share their experiences and advice. Women have a place in these fields,” says Jennifer Green, director of competitions and young women’s initiatives at Skills Ontario.
