Ingersoll-Rand has announced the creation of a new pure-play climate company that will include its Trane and Thermo King HVAC and refrigeration brands.
Trane Technologies, as the standalone company has been named, will focus on creating efficient and sustainable solutions for buildings, homes and transportation.
The new company will be headed by current Ingersoll Rand chairman and CEO Michael Lamach, while Dave Regnery has been appointed president and COO. The new leadership team will be in place from January 1, 2020.
Lamach said, “Global megatrends are pushing climate action to the forefront of the world’s agenda. We excel where these megatrends intersect with our advanced technologies and powerful innovation. Building on our leadership in sustainability, Trane Technologies will redefine the status quo for our industry and challenge what is possible for our customers and the world.”
