Skills Ontario recognizes efforts of supporters

Skills Ontario recently hosted an appreciation evening to recognize the efforts of its volunteers, alumni and sponsors over the previous year.

To begin the evening at the Hamilton Family Theatre in Cambridge, Ont., Karen Creditor, president of the board of directors of Skills Ontario, and Ian Howcroft, CEO of Skills Ontario, presented the Glenn Beatty Award to two recipients.

The recipients, Angelo Spano and Richard Dupp, have both volunteered with Skills Ontario, Skills Canada and WorldSkills, and have given hours of their time to making a difference in the lives of students and young apprentices.

The evening also saw Jennifer Green, director of competitions and young women’s initiatives at Skills Ontario, pass on her presidency of the Skills Ontario Alumni Association to Nathan Verseghy.
