After five years of service, Takeshi Ebisu has stepped down as president and CEO of Goodman Global Group, Inc., a member of the Daikin group of companies. Satoru Akama has been selected to replace him.
Akama, pictured right, joined Daikin in 1986 from Yokohama National University with a degree in business administration. He joined Goodman in April 2017 and most recently has served as the executive vice-president and president, Goodman Business Unit.
With Akama’s promotion to CEO, Brad Snyder, who has served as senior vice-president North America GBU Sales & Distribution, has been selected to lead the Goodman Business Unit as senior vice-president and president. The leadership changes went into effect on August 31.
“I am very excited to become the CEO of Goodman Global Group, Inc., a leading company in the North American HVAC industry,” said Akama.
“I would like to express my respect to Mr. Ebisu who, during the last five years, has built Daikin Texas Technology Park, endeavored in growing our business and executed his management practices by making aggressive investments toward our future,” Akama added. “I sincerely admire and appreciate his achievements and his love for Goodman and Daikin. I wish him great success in his future endeavors.”
