First look at Viega’s state-of-the-art facilities

Over the course of two days in August, media members from across Canada and the U.S. were invited to tour Viega’s recently expanded McPherson, Kansas, manufacturing plant and the stunning new North American training centre in Bloomfield, Colorado.

The McPherson manufacturing plant, located just north of Wichita, is where the PureFlow line of PEX product, as well as select fittings from the ProPress Copper and MegaPress product lines, are produced.

Earlier this summer, Viega completed a two-year build with a 90,000 sq. ft. expansion of the existing plant, a new manufacturing facility of 205,000 sq. ft., and a 25,000 sq. ft. tool shop and apprentice building, completed in July 2019.

Additionally, a 55,000 sq. ft. logistics expansion is in the works.

The state-of-the-art centre combines the newest in technology and automation. Along with upgrades to the warehouse management structure, it ensures products reach customers faster than ever.

The second stop on the tour was a visit to the training centre in Bloomfield, located on the same campus as Viega’s North American headquarters. The state-of-the-art building contains four classrooms, two workshops and an interactive learning centre, all of which allows attendees to see, touch and experience Viega products while learning about their many capabilities.

“Demand for training has been increasing steadily. This facility will allow us to continue to provide and expand on the training that our industry deserves,” said CEO Dave Garlow.

Situated just 30 minutes from the Denver International Airport, the training centre is easily accessible for anyone flying in from anywhere in North America.
