Product showcase helps attract 5,300 to MCEE

The Mécanex/Climatex/Expolectriq/Éclairage (MCEE) show in Montreal in April officially welcomed 5,335 visitors, all keen to check out the latest products and innovations from a record 414 exhibitors.

This year’s largest Canadian trade show targeting mechanical engineering and contracting firms, as well as electricity and lighting professionals, visitors saw thousands of products throughout the exhibit hall and at the New Product Showcase, where the spotlight was shone on 84 products that increase the efficiency and safety of mechanical and electrical installations.

82% of MCEE visitors ranked seeing new products as their number one reason to attend.

“With its new products and technical seminars, which had a combined attendance of more than 1,200, and the variety of exhibitors, the MCEE show was once again a premiere event for industry members,” said André Bergeron, general manager of the Corporation of Master Pipe Mechanics of Quebec.

Ralph Suppa, president and general manager of the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH), said, “MCEE brings all the stakeholders together. Visitors were able to see new products and technologies that will help them be more knowledgeable, productive and profitable. Exhibitors were able to showcase their products to current and potential customers, meet directly with decision-makers and increase their brand awareness.”

The virtual edition of MCEE 2019 is still open for visitors to search for detailed information about exhibitors and their products.

After seven editions at Place Bonaventure, MCEE is moving to the Montreal Convention Centre (Palais des congrès), with the next show slated for April 7 to 8, 2021.
