Craftsman inks deal with Leafs, Canucks and Oilers
Craftsman, the high-performance tool, storage and equipment company, has announced a sponsorship deal with three Canadian National Hockey League franchises as well as select Canadian Hockey League teams as it relaunches in Canada.
The agreement reached with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks will allow Craftsman to benefit from live game coverage on rinkboards, in-arena ads, social and digital programs, as well as website and mobile banner ads. With the Leafs, the brand will also have TV spots on the Leafs Nation Network.
The partnership with the CHL gives the brand visibility in 10 markets during the regular season, allowing it to connect with hockey fans across Canada.
”There is no better way to connect with Canadians and support the relaunch of the brand in Canada than by teaming up with this great national pastime,” said Joe Di Ilio, president and GM of Stanley Black & Decker Canada, GTS Group.
Craftsman, the latest addition to the Stanley Black & Decker family, sells its products in Canada through Lowe’s, Rona, Réno-Dépôt and Ace Hardware stores.
