September 24, 2018
The Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC) recently staged its 77th annual conference at the Westin Whistler Resort and Spa in the stunning B.C. mountains.
While marijuana in the workplace, high building performance and women in the mechanical industry were just some of the more serious topics covered during the four-day event held from September 19, there were also a host of extracurricular activities laid on.
Some of the activities attendees were treated to included a wine pairing session with the staff of Mission Hills Winery, a light-hearted talk on relationships by renowned public speaker Mark Gungor and a trip to Whistler Olympic Park in the Callaghan Valley for the MCAC Games.
The conference closed with the Northern Lights Gala on Saturday in the Westin ballroom. During the night, MCAC said farewell to outgoing president Dave Flamand and welcomed the man who has the job of filling his shoes, Jack Bavis.
MCAC also announced details of next year’s conference, which is to be hosted in Music City U.S.A. – Nashville, Tenn.
