Cintas Canada seeks washrooms that wow

March 14, 2018

Do you know of a washroom that is brag-worthy? If so, nominate it now! Starting today through June 15th, Cintas Canada is accepting nominations for the ninth annual Canada’s Best Restroom contest.

”There is great value in providing a positive public washroom experience,” said Candice Raynsford, marketing manager with Cintas Canada. “In addition to showcasing unique, well-designed restrooms, this contest highlights the importance of having a clean, well-stocked facility for a business’ success and reputation.”

Last year, the Bayview Village Shopping Centre in Toronto won the title and prize for its chic décor, elegant chandeliers, cushioned chairs and touch-free toilets, faucets and hand dryers.

”We are incredibly honoured to have won the Canada’s Best Restroom contest,” said John Minas, general manager of the shopping centre. ”Soon after the news broke, our washrooms were the talk of the town and still continue to be a highlight for visitors.”

The contest is open to any non-residential restroom in Canada that is accessible to the general public. Entries will be judged based on five criteria: cleanliness, visual appeal, innovation, functionality and unique design elements.

Cintas will unveil five finalists this summer, so that the public can vote for their favourite. The winner will receive $2,500 in facility services.
