Make your CMPX travel plans now

February 26, 2018

CMPX 2018 is right around the corner, and if you haven’t already, it’s the perfect time to start solidifying your travel arrangements. The event will take place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from March 21 to 23.

Arriving by bus

Quite a number of wholesalers will be chartering buses to bring groups of customers to CMPX. Visit the show’s interactive bus map here, which indicates the wholesalers participating in the “Take the bus with us” program.

The map features red bus icons marking pick up points at most cities within a two-hour drive of the show. Click on the bus icons nearest to where you live or work to see which wholesalers will be arranging a bus in that area. Then, if appropriate, reach out to that wholesaler to inquire about joining their bus group.

Driving instead?

Visitors driving to the show have their choice of either free or discounted parking. Free parking for oversized vehicles can be found at Harbourfront’s outdoor parking lot. The lot is located at 318 Queens Quay West (at the corner of Queens Quay West and Rees Street). Show the parking attendant your red attendee badge to ensure your parking is free (subject to availability).

Alternatively, attendees with red badges can get discounted (half-price) parking passes in the Metro Toronto Convention Center indoor parking lots, courtesy of CMPX 2018 show organizers. Entrances are off Simcoe Street. Show your red badge when you exit the lot to get the discount.

Four downtown hotels are within walking distance of the show: Fairmont Royal York Hotel; Hilton Garden Inn Toronto Downtown; InterContinental Toronto Centre; and Renaissance Toronto Downtown Hotel. Room blocks of specially discounted rooms have been negotiated by show organizers. Remember to mention that you’re attending the show.

Jointly produced since 1972 by HRAI and CIPH, CMPX is Canada’s largest show for the mechanicals industry. It’s aimed at plumbing, HVACR and mechanical contractors, installers, technicians, wholesalers, engineers, architects, building managers, renovators, specifiers, government personnel, manufacturers reps, retailers, journalists, teachers and students.
