Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH) recently presented Lifetime Service Awards to several of its members across the country. Only CIPH members with 40 or more years in the industry qualify for the recognition.

Among the association’s most recent recipients are B.A. Robinson’s Greg Downey, who held several senior positions before his 2017 retirement, and Tony Stankewich, who worked in the quotation department.

”Greg was best known as guy who ‘never got rattled’ in the face of a big problem, earning him the nick name ‘Cool Hand-Luke’,” recalls Ross Robinson, chairman of B.A. Robinson. ”Tony joined B.A.Robinson Co. in 1976 in the Winnipeg Electrical branch and became a founding member of the Plumbing Division, which opened in 1978 with a warehouse and Industry-first Robinson Waterworks showroom. Tony, nick named ‘Mr. Nice Guy’ held a number of positions before spending over 30 years in the Quotation Department.”

CIPH also recently recognized Andrew Sheret’s Tammy Brand, administrative assistant to Dan Miller VP of purchasing; and Usines Giant Factories’ Claude Perry, sales representative for Quebec west region.
