Armstrong Takes Novel Approach to Fundraising
October 6, 2016
Armstrong Fluid Technology has taken a novel approach to raising funds for WaterAid.
The company has launched a worldwide "Armstrong’s Rising Stars" challenge, inviting employees to submit videos of their hidden talents. Singers, dancers and jugglers are all welcome to apply.
Every video submitted will be sponsored by donors to support WaterAid. Donations will also be raised through kick-off events at each Armstrong location.
WaterAid is an international charity dedicated to providing clean drinking water and sanitation.
"We believe our ‘Rising Stars’ program is a great way to raise money for a very worthwhile cause while recognizing our employees for their unique talents and allowing them to get their colleagues and communities involved in the fundraising effort," said Armstrong CEO Lex van der Weerd. "As a fluid technology company, we support the mission to provide clean drinking water to all people."
All video submissions will be posted on Armstrong’s website, where viewers can vote for their favourites. The top three vote-getters will receive special prizes, and another prize will be awarded to the employee who raises the most funds for WaterAid.
